The primary purpose of budgeting is to formally convert the plans and policies of the Carteret County Health Department into current year services and programs. The budget provides detailed information on the cost of services and the expected revenues for the upcoming fiscal year to meet the needs and requirements of the citizens of Carteret County.
The period covered by the official budget is July 1 through June 30.
